What is Plush?

Plush Media Player is a multi-screen video player for Mac and MacBook that plays up to eight videos at once (three free, eight with Plush Pro) — from the web, local files, and Apple Music — side by side in one window on a single screen.

It is the multi-video answer to Safari picture-in-picture: instead of one floating video, you get a grid of up to eight videos playing at once, without juggling browser windows. With Plush Pro, shuffle mode plays a random video from the site you’re on or from a local folder, with continuous playback, and Plush Pro’s Sync Tiles to This One keeps playback in step across tiles. There are no accounts and no tracking — and an optional Privacy Protection toggle blocks third-party trackers and ad networks inside web tiles (it does not affect ads inside streaming players).

Web tiles are WebKit views that load sites the way Safari does; the service decides what plays. You can mix web tiles with local video files and Apple Music in the same window. Web tiles work with a built-in list of streaming sites — YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Rumble, Dailymotion, Odysee, Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Max, Peacock, Paramount+, Crunchyroll, Pluto TV, Tubi, Plex, Nebula, CuriosityStream, Floatplane, Patreon, ESPN, DAZN, Apple Music web, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp and a few more — plus any site you add.

How many videos can I watch at once on my Mac?

No — Plush does not have a floating picture-in-picture window. Instead, every tile is resizable, and the whole window can be pinned above your other apps with Pin on Top (Shift-Cmd-P). Plush also offers session restore (named, saved sessions are part of Plush Pro), full keyboard control, and VoiceOver accessibility.

Is Plush private?

Yes — Plush has no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics SDKs, and an optional Privacy Protection toggle blocks third-party trackers and ad networks inside web tiles (it does not affect ads inside streaming players). Everything runs locally on your Mac.

Is Plush free?

Plush is free to use with up to 3 tiles on screen at once. Plush Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks up to 8 tiles, the Hero layout, Adaptive and Chaos sound modes, time sync, folder shuffle and saved sessions. There is no subscription. Anyone who downloaded Plush before version 1.5.0 has Plush Pro for free. Plush requires macOS 14.0 or later and is built for Apple Silicon.

I bought Plush before. Do I have to pay again?

No. Anyone who downloaded Plush before version 1.5.0 has Plush Pro for free, permanently. If Pro does not show as unlocked, choose Restore Purchases in the Plush menu.
