Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-05-07

Plush Media Player is a multi-screen video player for Mac that plays up to 8 videos side by side in one window. We do not collect any data from you.

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts or sign-ups.
  • No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
  • No advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party SDKs.

What stays on your Mac

  • Files you pick — Plush stores security-scoped bookmarks to the files you choose, so it can re-open them next launch. The bookmarks live in the macOS sandbox and never leave your device.
  • Streaming-site logins — when you sign in to a service inside a web tile (e.g., Twitch via ASWebAuthenticationSession), the resulting tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain (kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly) and used only by that web tile.
  • Crash diagnostics — Plush uses Apple’s MetricKit framework. Any diagnostic JSON is written to ~/Library/Application Support/Plush/Diagnostics/ on your Mac. We do not transmit this data. Crash logs older than 30 days are deleted automatically.

Network connections Plush makes

  • To Apple, for MusicKit and ASWebAuthenticationSession.
  • To streaming sites you load in a web tile (YouTube, Twitch, Netflix, etc.), exactly as Safari would.
  • To one Apple-owned URL (apple.com/apple-music/) when the music tile shows the “subscribe to Apple Music” link.

Plush itself has no backend. We have no servers that receive your data.

Cookies

Plush itself sets no cookies. Plush has no backend and no analytics, so there is nothing for Plush to remember about you between sessions.

When you open a streaming site inside a web tile, that site may set its own cookies in the macOS WebKit data store on your Mac, exactly as it would in Safari. Those cookies belong to the site you visited, are governed by that site’s own privacy policy and consent prompts, and let you stay signed in to your account on that site. Plush does not read, modify, or transmit those cookies.

Age rating and audience

Plush is rated 17+ on the Mac App Store. The rating reflects that the web tile lets you load streaming sites — such as YouTube, Twitch, and other services you choose — which may host age-gated or mature content under their own terms. Plush itself contains no mature, violent, sexual, or otherwise restricted content; the rating is driven entirely by the unrestricted nature of the web tile.

Plush is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone of any age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app, you can simply remove it — Plush stores nothing about its users on any server because it has no servers.

Changes

If this policy ever changes we will update the effective date above. The current version is the one you are reading.
